Teaching Assistant post

Required as soon as possible.    Temporary contract until 31 March 2022 (in the first instance)

Hourly rate £10.01 - £10.21

 Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 3.15pm

 

We are looking for someone with a flexible and forward thinking approach to support children in both key stage one and two on a one to one and small group basis. You should be curious and open to new ways of working to ensure that you are meeting the emotional, social and academic needs of the children that you support.

 

We are keen to hear from applicants who;

  • Have excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Have an enthusiasm for learning and can take the initiative in adapting the curriculum to make it engaging and relevant to the children that you support (working under the direction the class teacher)
  • Are able to establish trusting and positive relationships with children
  • Are able to manage challenging behaviour
  • Have high levels of resilience and the ability to stay positive
  • Have a real desire to make a difference and to achieve the best for the children that you work with
  • Are qualified to a minimum of NVQ 2 or above

Nursery Class Assistant 

Required as soon as possible, summer term only (until 21.07.21).

8.30am – 12.30pm, five days a week, term time.  

Hourly rate £9.62 - £9.81

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic early years teaching assistant to join our staff team.  

 

We are looking for someone who;

  • Has proven, recent experience of working in an early years setting or with children of this age group.
  • Has a passion and enthusiasm for working in the early years with a commitment to enabling every child to achieve their potential.
  • Has a positive ‘can do attitude’ and is able to maintain high standards of care and support for our children.
  • Has good literacy (both written and verbal) and numeracy skills.
  • Is able to establish positive relationships with children and encourage independence.
  • Is a nurturing, calm and forward looking individual.
  • Is able to work as a member of a team and under own initiative to provide the best possible provision for our children.

Midday Supervisory Assistant 

Monday to Friday, 11.35am  – 1.20pm initially (term time only)

Hours may reduce once COVID restrictions are eased (current 'normal' MSA hours are 12.05pm - 1.20pm)

Hourly rate: £9.24 per hour

We are currently seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly and supportive staff team.

The posts involve supervising the children (4-11 years) during lunchtimes; encouraging healthy eating and appropriate behaviour, promoting positive play and setting up and clearing away dining facilities (including some lifting).

You must enjoy being with children, have a calm and positive manner, be reliable and enjoy working as part of a team.

Applicants will be required to complete training (such as first aid and safeguarding) outside the set hours for the post.

 

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, therefore any successful applicant will be required to share this commitment and undertake an enhanced DBS check. Two independent, professional references will be required.
