Hey Ewe! - Sycamore and Rowan Classes' Christmas performance
Busking day - Monday 21st July 2015
On Busking Day all of the children in school are invited to share their talents, whatever they may be. It was great to see so many children sharing their musical, dancing, singing, gymnastic and sporting talents to an audience made up of the whole school and parents. Each class also prepared something to share on the day and the whole school performed a number of popular songs. All of the money raised by the buskers was donated to the school council's chosen charity of the year, The Dog's Trust.
Alice in Wonderland performance - July 2015
This year our year six class chose Alice in Wondeland for their end of term performance. The children were involved in designing and creating the stage backdrop as well as all their costumes and props. All of the year six children took the main speaking parts and the children in classes 3, 4 and 5 formed the choir. The children's performance was fabulous, with some outstanding individual solo performances. We were very proud of all their amazing performances.
Sports Day July 2015
We enjoyed taking part in our whole school sports completion when all of the children compete for their house, earning points by taking part in a range of athletic activities. We finished with a house relay in which a child from each class ran for their house starting with year six and ending with the Reception children running over the finishing line.
Creating our outdoor learning area - March 2015
Over the past few months Mrs Kelly (ably assisted by Class Four) has worked tirelessly to create an outdoor learning area on the school field. On Saturday 14th March an enthusiastic band of pupils, parents, staff and governors worked together to plant trees, dig wildlife areas, create bug hotels, install bird boxes, plant saplings and create willow hedging to create this amazing outdoor space.
We are really grateful to a number of local companies who have supported this initiative including; Robin Tacchi Nursery, The Shadwell Estate, Broadland Tree Services, Aspect Roofing, The Woodland Trust, Mrs Claxton, Mr Hough (RSPB), Bressingham Gardens, Antonis Prodromou and Simons Landscaping.
We are all now looking forward to learning outside of the classroom!
